We are a 130 acre horse farm just outside of Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Located in a beautiful area in the heart of the Bluegrass, we are 45 minutes outside of Lexington, 10 minutes south of Bluegrass Parkway and just off 127.
My name is Samara Snitker I am the primary trainer and manager of Snitker Ranch's horses. I also work for Taylor Made Farm & Sales Agency in Nicholasville Kentucky where I work with yearling Thoroughbreds. I have attended Asbury University with a Equine Studies major and emphasis in Training and Equitation. I worked as Senior Wrangler at Pine Cove Christian Camps and trained with Bodie Dawson out of Columbus, Texas. I have been training horses & giving riding lessons for about 8 years. I am a certified riding instructor with a focus on western riding, ranch horse training, barrel racing, cattle work, and reining. I have worked with and trained with Ken McNabb and Paul Dailey and many other talented horse trainers, my training and riding focuses on Natural Horsemanship methods as these nationally known trainers helped develop. I have a passion for teaching horses and people how to work together.
My husband, Benjamin, is a skilled craftsman and woodworker. He is a carpenter at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Benjamin builds beautiful furniture and handcrafted cabinetry. He has been making handmade longbows since high school and went to college for Construction Engineering and Carpentry. He also makes incredible handmade leather goods that are all one-of-a-kind. Check out our shop page for more information about his work!
